Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
We recommend booking at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance during the low season, and 2 to 3 months in advance during the high season (May to October). This ensures lodge availability and proper logistics coordination.
To secure your booking, a deposit is required. We accept secure online payments via credit/debit cards, PayPal, bank transfers, and Western Union. The remaining balance can be paid in Cusco before your tour starts.
A Yellow Fever vaccination is highly recommended for travelers heading to the Peruvian Amazon and should be administered at least 10 days before arrival. Malaria prophylaxis is optional; however, wearing long sleeves and applying a high-DEET insect repellent is the most effective prevention.
Essential items include: lightweight long-sleeved shirts and trousers (to protect against mosquitoes), a waterproof rain jacket or poncho, a good insect repellent, sunscreen, a flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries, binoculars, a refillable water bottle, and ziplock bags to protect your electronics from humidity.
Yes, due to space limitations on boats and land transport, we request that you bring a smaller backpack or duffel bag with only what you need for the jungle (approx. 10-15 kg per person). You can safely leave your large suitcases and main luggage at our office in Cusco or at your hotel at no extra charge.
Most remote lodges in Manu or deep Amazon reserves operate on solar panels or generators, meaning electricity is available only during specific hours (usually 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM) in common areas to charge batteries. There is generally no Wi-Fi or cellular signal deep in the rainforest. Prepare for an authentic digital detox!

The Dry Season (May to October) is considered the best time for trekking and offers lower mosquito activity. The Wet Season (November to April) is beautiful for boat navigation through flooded forests and offers great opportunities to spot birds and certain amphibians, though it rains frequently.
We offer different routes depending on the physical condition of our travelers. While some deep expeditions are demanding, we have family-friendly programs suitable for children from 6 years old and elderly travelers. Please let us know your group profile so we can recommend the perfect itinerary.
