DEAR TOURISTS: Reservation & Booking Policies
Thank you very much for choosing us! Please read the following guidelines carefully. The Peruvian system of services and products sometimes differs from that of your country of origin. We highly recommend taking note of the following conditions:
TRAVEL IN PERU
Jungle Trips Peru operates in remote regions (such as Manu National Park, Tambopata, and Sandoval Lake) where standards of accommodation, transportation, and services may not be what you would normally expect at home. However, we strive with all diligence, safety protocols, and professional ability to provide the absolute best services for our tourists. Traveling in Peru requires flexibility, patience, open-mindedness, good humor, and an understanding that circumstances beyond our control may necessitate itinerary changes without prior notice (see Force Majeure below). By booking any of our tours, you agree that Jungle Trips Peru and the National Park authorities may make necessary operational changes without liability.
FORCE MAJEURE
Force Majeure refers to any event or circumstance that Jungle Trips Peru cannot solve, foresee, or avoid, even with all due care. This includes events such as social revolts, strikes, civil wars, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, diseases, natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, river floods, or any other similar event beyond our control. In these cases, Jungle Trips Peru will not accept financial responsibility and reserves the right to alter, postpone, or cancel the trip as a last resort safety option.
Travel Insurance: It is highly recommended and requested that all passengers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers adventure risks, accidents, medical expenses, and emergency repatriation (including rescue and air ambulance). We also recommend coverage for trip cancellations and lost luggage. Please forward a copy of your policy or policy number to our offices before departure.
RISKS & RESPONSIBILITY
By booking any of our adventure trips and rainforest expeditions (Manu Biosphere, Tambopata Reserve, Sandoval Lake, or alternative Andean treks), passengers voluntarily assume all inherent risks associated with them. Consequently, Jungle Trips Peru accepts no liability for personal injury, illness, or property damage sustained during these wilderness excursions.
Sending Personal Data for Reservations: Your passport number must be fully valid. Please let us know immediately if you plan to renew or change your passport after booking, as park control authorities are very strict when verifying identification at checkpoints. Student cards (if applicable) must also be valid at the exact time of starting the tour to honor any discounts.
MAKE A RESERVATION (Deposit)
To secure a booking for a tour package or custom expedition, you must pay a 50% deposit of the total cost of the package. The remaining balance will be paid upon your arrival in Cusco at our official offices. For short adventure trips or fixed departures, a non-refundable deposit of USD $250 per person is required to secure spaces, transportation, and lodge allotments.
DEPOSIT METHODS
All transaction fees are covered strictly by the customer and are not included in our tour prices. Deposits can be processed through:
- 01. Western Union Money Transfer: Transfers must be made directly to our authorized financial representative: German Gamarra (ID Number provided upon request).
- 02. PayPal: Subject to processing fees depending on the country of origin.
- 03. Bank Wire Transfer: Direct to our corporate Peruvian bank account.
PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE
We require you to pay your final balance at our offices in Cusco at least 48 to 24 hours before your journey starts. Currently, we accept cash in US Dollars (USD) or Peruvian Soles (PEN). We reserve the right to cancel your trip due to non-payment within this period. If you experience travel delays, please contact our company immediately via phone, WhatsApp, or email.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
- Any reservation deposit sent to secure slots, transport, or lodges is strictly non-refundable.
- Jungle Trips Peru must be notified in writing via email regarding any change, rescheduling, or cancellation of your trip as soon as you become aware of them.
- Once the final balance has been paid: We will not be able to refund your money if you cancel your trip. However, you will receive the portion of your booking that can be recovered or handed over (such as specific park entrance tickets, train tickets, or bus vouchers, depending on availability).
VERY IMPORTANT (Acclimatization Advice)
We strongly recommend staying at a high-altitude city (above 3,000 meters, such as Cusco) for 3 to 4 days before starting any physical trek or traveling deep into the Amazon basin. This helps minimize the effects of altitude sickness (soroche). You can support your body's natural acclimatization by drinking plenty of fluids, adding sugar to your drinks, eating meals rich in carbohydrates, avoiding alcohol or tobacco, and drinking traditional Coca Leaf tea.
*By confirming your reservation and submitting your deposit, you declare that you fully accept all of our official Terms, Conditions, and the ESNNA Child Protection Policies.
Note: These terms and conditions are subject to updates and changes without prior notice.
Thanks again for choosing Jungle Trips Peru, and have a wonderful, unforgettable trip to the Amazon!
What makes these trips different?
We believe that a vacation should be more than a hotel room, a flight and a rental car. It should be more than the sum of its parts. We also believe a challenge can help you grow and a trip can stir the soul. We create journeys worth taking - for the traveler, for the host and for the world.
